Trump and the Republican party did not win. I have said many times before “The Democrats and Hilary gave the election to Trump”. Trump tried his best to lose as he had much more to gain financially from losing than winning. Unfortunately, the Democratic Party and Hilary refused to oblige.
Well I can certainly say I welcome the arrival of election day. We can now at least get a breather from the non-stop coverage and endless arguing over the personalities of the candidates. I’ve been most discouraged in this election cycle by the utter lack of deep discussion of policy, and laser like focus on email habits or video tapes of crude statements made privately more than a decade ago. Folks, this whole thing is entertainment and nothing more.
Trump recently made a comment in Hindi, and said "we love Hindus, we love India..." and put out a campaign ad for "Indians" (airing on Indian TV channels in the US). The comments from the Indians as reported by BBC are so reflective of what many minorities think of Trump and his shady tactics.
America the Great…… Why are we on the path to repeating the mistakes we've made? In the past 20+ years all the lessons we've learned from history, including basic ethics & civility have been forgotten in America – reverse evolution in practice.
Donald Trump has been humiliating America, Americans... people form all walks of life for over a year... So my question to you is, when did you start caring or when will you start?!
Democracy has to be nurtured and developed. We as Americans have enjoyed the fruits of democracy but other than our brave men and women in the military the sacrifices made by normal Americans to nurture democracy have been limited.
